Were enchanted by the beauty of the country

On a recommendation from @LowaniTravel, the four of us went on a holiday to Malawi and Zambia. We saw Lions, Hyenas, Buffalo, Elephants, Eagles, Impala, Leopards, Crocodiles, Hippos, Giraffes and zebras.

We hiked up and down mountains, had a swim, snorkelled, chilled, stared for hours through binoculars, were enchanted by the beauty of the country and the sweet hardworking people. We noticed how much fun the four of us actually had and it was so very nice.

After two months traveling East Africa we thought we would do a splurge at South Luangwa. What a treat our stay was! The park is absolutely stunning but the lodge itself really adds to the experience. Every morning there we saw the elephants cross the river and a couple times also groups of giraffes. The elephants and hippos also pass through the terrain as we have noticed, so do listen to the night guards ;). In the river there are plenty of hippos, the sound was still funny to me after 3 nights. The guides are also funny guys with a lit of knowlegde. Alround great place to stay!

Furthermore, the food was really good and varried. The rooms are also lovely and spacious. Especially the area where the meals are is really cosy with the lights after sunset.

And honestly amazing value for money when compared to Tanzania or Kenya!

Nearby activities
You enter the park by boat to cross the river. Because of this it is easier to go to other parts of the park compared to places close to the main entrance. The chances of spotting things is a bit lower further away but we really enjoyed being the only car around!

A most special and successful trip of 16 Days.

We made the right decision to book one lodge. The best thanks to Sabine and Frank who took us especially to the Carmine Bee-eaters nests and to Chloe who took me to the kill of the Impala the last morning!  Thanks also to the Crew.
